Originally built as private luxury residences in 1975. Opened as an all-suite hotel in 1979.
From 2000 to 2010 was known as Raffles L'Ermitage. Purchased by Viceroy Hotels in early 2010 and rebranded as L'Ermitage Beverly Hills. In March 2016 became Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills.
In 2021 L'Ermitage became an independent hotel.
