The La Ronde revolving restaurant opened in 1972 in the then Holiday Inn. It remained La Ronde when the hotel was rebranded a Radisson (1988-2000). In 2000 the hotel was rebranded as a Marriott and the restaurant became Merlot.
Merlot closed in 2010 with the space becoming a venue for meetings.
